This is an initiative from Haridasa Chandrika (HDC) to provide COVID health insurance to Pandits/Archakas/Temple Staff who are not currently covered by any other Insurance policies

How does this work?

1. Haridasa Chandrika has worked with National Insurance company to provide COVID coverage  or GeneraL Health Coverage.
2. Coverage includes Rs 4-6 Lakh coverage for COVID related hospitalization and home care for entire family for 9.5months with ~Rs 15-20 thousand premium per family. Exact amount depends upon family size and age. Detailed terms and conditions are here. Policy will be facilitated through our insurance agent (contact phone:+91 95918 10302).
3. Policy holder can pay premium partially or fully thru the payment links below A) by themselves or B) by any of their contacts 
4. HDC will assist in raising funds to fill any gaps and make final payment to insurance company. How much HDC can support will be dependent upon amount of gap and donations received. HDC's target is to bridge policy holders and and donors (individual and corporate) and thus make insurance affordable for everyone 
5. We are currently in pilot phase.

Why should beneficiaries work thru HDC?

HDC is working with insurance companies to get best discount as group policy.  HDC plans to add adequate coverage for Medical/Hospitalization needs, Accident coverage and Life insurance for the entire family and thus make insurance affordable for everyone in the longer term. Current pilot is limited to 25 families targeting COVID needs. Beneficiaries listed below are chosen thru known contacts. This effort will be extended to broader group in the future. Learnings from this model will be used to setup similar efforts across various communities.
